Melanie and James' Birth Story (Part II)

It took me so long to sort though these pictures. This baby is so beautiful! I have never seen a baby with red hair before. It was kind of a shock to me, but I'm so in love with it. Not to mention a little jealous since my little girl was born with ZERO hair.  James was so captivated by his new little daughter. I could not stop taking pictures. He kept telling her how beautiful she was and that he was her Daddy. When he took her to Melanie she didn't want to let her go. The nurse actually measured Annaliese while Melanie was holding her.

Melanie and James' Birth Story (Part I)

Two days ago Melanie asked me if I would consider doing a birth story for her.  I was so excited and I jumped at the chance! I have documented the entire third trimester for her so I couldn't wait to share in this part of her story too.  Yesterday I got the call that Melanie was in active labor. She was induced 2 weeks early due to a couple of medical problems. When I arrived the lights were very low and Melanie still had not received her epidural.  Labor was long and she was tired, but oh my was she amazing. She even had us laughing really hard. I don't think women in labor should be able to have a sense of humor.  James was at her side the whole time and such a great support for her. He breathed with her held her hand and cried with the most happiness one could imagine when he could see his daughters little head. This was an amazing night for me. Thank you Melanie and James for letting me be a part of such a special time for you.  Your baby girl is just amazing.

I photographed a birth last night. I can't wait to share the pictures with you, but for now just get excited. This baby is beautiful!

Tiny Baby, Big Sale

Doesn't it seem like the last part of your pregnancy is the slowest/fastest part of the whole thing? You're physically ready to have this little one. You want so badly to meet them and the time seems to stand still, but for me at least when I'm at the end and thinking of all the stuff I have left to get done time seems to go way to fast.

I'm kind of getting that, "late in pregnancy excited itch". No I am not pregnant! I  just finished making some new little newborn props and I can't help but want to use them.  That is why I'm having my first "Tiny Baby, Big Sale". A Sneak Peek of 3 Weeks to Come

 Melanie asked me to join her on a trip to the Dr. for an ultrasound and non-stress test.  I was so happy to be apart of this super exciting experience.  And I'd be lying if I said it didn't make me more than a little baby hungry.  I love the idea of capturing different parts of pregnancy that sometimes get overlooked. And I am in love with the story it tells.

This little baby could make her debut any day now.  So stay tuned for this little ones newborn pictures! What do you think...lots of dark hair like her Momma?

Melanie is expecting her first little baby soon. She was so sweet and let me take some maternity pictures of her. M totally has that maternity body that all girls dream of. Just a sweet little tummy!

The Hreb...'s

Thank you so much S and J for coming all the way from Arizona for this photo shoot. Okay so maybe that was not the whole reason for your trip, but I sure am glad you picked me to capture your love anyway!

Just looking at this picture I'm sure you can see it in his face, but what you can't hear is J whispering to his wife how beautiful she is. It really touched me that even with me standing right next to S aiming my camera straight at him he seemed so caught up in her beauty that he forgot I was even there.

We had a great time. These two are some of the funniest people I know!

 S and H have been through a lot together. And through it all this look that you see between them is ALWAYS there. Their love for each other is amazing and so inspiring. Thank you again, so much, for letting me be a part of this!
